Baby
Bottle Tooth Decay
My toddler falls right to sleep if I put her to bed
with a bottle. Bottles also help when she is fussy. My
sister says I am making a mistake, but all I know is it
works. What should I do?
What works today may be very costly for you later. By
putting your baby to bed with a bottle, you are
encouraging tooth decay. Baby-bottle tooth decay can
occur when an infant or a toddler is given a bottle
filled with milk, formula, fruit juice or sugared
liquids at bedtime, naptime, or for long periods of time
during the day.

Tooth
Whitening
Generally, bleaching is successful in at least 90
percent of patients, though it may not be an option for
everyone. Consider tooth bleaching if your teeth are
darkened from age, coffee, tea or smoking. Teeth
darkened with the color of yellow, brown or orange
respond better to lightening. Other types of gray stains
caused by fluorosis, smoking or tetracycline are
lightened, but results are not as dramatic. If you have
very sensitive teeth, periodontal disease, or teeth with
worn enamel, your dentist may discourage bleaching. read

Space
Maintainers
If your child loses a baby tooth early through decay or
injury, the child's other teeth could shift and begin to
fill the vacant space. When your child's permanent teeth
emerge, there's not enough room for them. The result is
crooked or crowded teeth and difficulties with chewing
or speaking. read

Fun
Stuff
This
is a unique and fabulously sentimental keepsake. Tooth Fairy
money is kept safe in the hollow tooth centerpiece and money can
be removed through a plug on the bank's bottom. Each precious
little tooth is saved in 1 of 20 cubbies around the tooth
center. A plastic dial covers these cubbies. A chart on the
bank's bottom helps the Tooth Fairy keep a diary of the special
dates each tooth fell out and personalize the bank with that special
"little one's" name. click here for info |
